Looks like MLB is turning the screws on the 'Stros

CHICAGO - Adamant last week that the retractable roof at Minute Maid Park would stay closed for the remainder of the playoffs, the Astros are now considering having it open for this week's World Series games.
General manager Tim Purpura said Sunday the club has had discussions with Major League Baseball about keeping the roof open — weather permitting — for Game 3 on Tuesday, Game 4 on Wednesday and, if necessary, Game 5 on Thursday.
The Astros have said they prefer the roof to be closed to increase the noise level inside the ballpark. But Major League Baseball appears to want the games to be played under the stars.
"The roof opening and closing has more to do with fan comfort than the players' situation," Purpura said. "Now we're into the fall, and the weather is better in Houston. We've had some discussions that maybe we ought to open it up and showcase our city and show what it's like down there"
