ELIAS SAYS ...

The most dramatic moments of Game 1 came in the top of the eighth inning when, with runners on first and third and none out, Neal Cotts fanned Morgan Ensberg and Mike Lamb and then Bobby Jenks came on to strike out Jeff Bagwell.
It was the first time in World Series history that three consecutive batters had struck out in the seventh inning or later with the potential tying run in scoring position

Also,

Drumroll please...

Bobby Jenks is now the heaviest man to ever play in the World Series. At a whopping (and, if I may editorialize, comically underestimated) 270 pounds, he passes Frank Howard.

Congratulations, and how did you do it, Bobby?

I love that Simpsons quote when Marge is lamenting over HOmer's death in the future:

"I wish they had never invented fried cheese!"

First time in the Series that somebody thought about stealing second, hesitantly moved toward second 1/3 of the way, ran 1/2 of the way, and slowly jogged the rest.

Hey, I'd love to carry my weight as well as Bobby carries considerably more on the same height frame.

You have to love Ozzie, in the World Series, making the "give me the big and wide guy" sign as he went to the mound.

he could be 370 as long as he keeps pitching the way he does.
