Ernies on Banks St. A great small neighborhood bar in the historic section of town, owned by a former Chicagoan Cub fan and now Houston camera man. Dont expect many Sox fans there, but I dont thinkthey would tar and feather you either.

There's actually a nice one across the street from the ballpark called The Homeplate. I'm have to work Mon - Weds and may go there after I get off if I haven't landed any last minute tickets on eBay before I get off. I work about 3 blocks from the park.

PM me with contact info if you wish and we can hook up. There are a few other places to watch the game downtown as well, just look on Yahoo Yellow pages in the 77002 zip code.

I'm pretty sure they are also going to show the games on the side of a building downtown again like they did for the NLCS. They project it on a law firm building close to the park. Now that's a good time.

Hahaha...thanks I think. Our forum is pretty gay compared to yours. Kinda like reading emails, which I do enough of.

The Bus across from MM park is fun too. I just wish I could find a place where I will not be the only Sox fan! BTW, the place where they project the game is at Prairie and Main Streets.

I found these Astros forums:

http://pub60.ezboard.com/bevilwontwin
http://www.forums.mlb.com/ml-astros
http://p200.ezboard.com/bastrofans
http://www.orangewhoopass.com/bbs
http://thesarastory.com/phpbb2

If you combined them all, you might start to have a decent board.

I should add that until I was eleven I lived in Houston and my dad shared season tickets two rows behind the visiting warm up circle in the Astrodome. I have fond memories of Jose Cruz, Ryan, Scott, Doran, and Glen Davis (my favorite). Doran was as good or better than Ryne Sandberg for a stretch there.

FWIW, Astros fans used to have one of the best fan sites on the internet, Kev and Scott's Astrosconnection. MLB Properties and the Astros started harassing them and the co-owners took that as their cue to shutdown the entire site. OrangeWhoopass is its successor but it doesn't have any of the clever features that made Astrosconnection such a big hit. It's a shame...

I'm sure others here remember their Chip Caray Eight Ball. That was some seriously funny stuff... a kindred spirit to WSI deep in the heart of Texas.
