I've been saying this to people at work all this week...Sox in no more than six.

I Agree

I say 6 also. Not only do they get to celebrate at home, but so do I. I have leave coming up on Friday, and nothing would be better to celebrate with my friends and family.

My prediction is Sox in 6.

I say we squeak one out tonight (2-0), win tomorrow (5-2), lose to Oswalt, beat Backe (8-4), lose to Clemens, and then beat Pettite at home, and give the city the party of its life

I saw a lot of national 'experts' say stros in 7. What they are smoking is what I want to know...cuz that is some good stuff.....wonder where I can get that??

Oh I digress..if this series goes 7, then dont sox come home to play that game? Then you have the home crowd rallying and its one game where ozzie can throw anyone and everyone into this game unlike houston which has a disadvantage in that their manager doesnt trust their pen much.

I dont see this series coming back home. Sox are going to finish this one down in houston just like they have in earlier postseason series' so far.

Sox in 6. A Game 7 would be too much to handle. I hope they do it in 4, but I am going with 6.

I think they'll do it in 5. IMO, the pitching is about as equal as it can get. However, many of our guys have had success against Clemens and Pettite. The Sox also have the edge in hitting. Many "experts" say that our line up isn't scary, but Houston's is as scary as my granny yelling "boo" on halloween. Granted, I think all the games will be close, but the only game I see the Sox losing is against Oswalt.

The Astros have a solid rotation but it's nothing to fear. Especially Andy Petitte - he's a has-been.

The only one close to fearing is Oswalt, and we are going to demolish him.

First Time poster here, never knew that this site existed and I have been a Sox fan all my life.

I also think the Sox will take it in 5 games, for the same reasons as Palehose13 stated. Clemens and Pettite being former American League pitchers give our guys and a big advantage .... we have seen them before. Oswalt is the only one that I think we may have to worry about. Sox have an advantage in power hitting, and even Garner himself stated his Astro's don't fare well against pitchers they have not seen before.

All this equals Sox in 5.

Welcome aboard! I think you are going to get addicted like many of us here are! All excellent reasons, I like the way you think!

We have to all remember that the Angels have a MUCH more potent offense than Houston, and we did beat them in 5 games. Our offense is better than Houston's. I'm really liking our chances.

No matter how many games it takes, we will be the 2005 World Series Champions...and I will go crazy waiting!

With all the dark clouds we've had, I don't think that should be in teal.

sox in 5, although I like all of the pitching matchups, one of the stros will be lights out for a game. ptc for the series Scotty. Dark horse for this series Jermaine Dye.

Beating Clemens is a must!!!!

he is the WEAK link in the rotation.

Sox in 5. They're destined to do all their clinching on the road.

I'm goin with the Sox in 6. Although they are undefeated this postseason on the road, I think the stros have a good chance with the only guy that scares me, Oswalt. I also think they may steal one more game. We might as well win one postseason series at home, right?

I'm not a dark cloud. I honestly hope the Sox can win in as few games as possible. Honestly, though, I've seen World Series upsets and I'm afraid that looking at both pitching staffs, this one could go either way.

Sox in 6. They'll lose to Oswalt and lose 1 game because of something stupid happening with that dumb field in Houston.

Sox in 6. We drop a tough one tonight to Clemens, beat houston on Sunday, take 2 of 3 down south, then come back and take game 6 at home.

Then :gulp: :gulp: :gulp: :gulp:
