careerwise, personal life. etc. I know about same birthdays but for Astros to make it to the world series along with the White Sox while both are out is the topper for me.

448 HR for Thomas, 449 for Bagwell..

How many times will these two be compared on Fox?

Bagwell shrinking- Frank stays big. Not a similarity.

Not wanting to assume any kind of implication here...Bagwell is "shrinking" (lost 10 pounds) because after the shoulder injury in 2001, he has not been able to continue his workout schedule that made him one of the best power hitters in the NL.

If you can't work out, you can't maintain muscle mass.

Both should be first ballot Hall of Fame inductees.

They were both drafted in 1989, neither of them attempted to steal a base this season and they both played in less than 40 games (Thomas:34, Bagwell 39),

Isn't Bagwell still available for PH duties?

Bags is still available for DH duties. But no one really knows what kind of power he still has. I think that he is very limited there. In the last series with the Cards and Braves, he saw very little hitting time and there were opps for him to do so. I believe that yall will see him as a DH maybe against Buehrle since he's a leftie. Other than that, Palmeiro, Lamb or Lane against the righties.

I for one, would like to see him at least get a chance to contribute, but I hope we are here for the win and not to make someone feel good.

Just so you know, most people on this board have been very quick to support Bagwell when someone makes an implication like that. There's another thread in this forum where a poster made the same insinuation and many people quickly jumped in to point out what you just pointed out.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that most of us here are not making any allegations to Bagwell, and know what you know about his shoulder injury. I agree with the people who say that along with Frank, Bagwell and perhaps Belle are the least likely to have used steroids throughout the dark ages.

I doubt he will be put in unless its a blowout\loss game and he isnt needed. They wont risk puttin someone in who they cant guarentee can deliver

How many times will these two be compared on Fox? At least once. Per game.

I doubt it. Fox seems content to completely ignore Frank. They haven't mentioned him at all since the playoffs started.
