Here is how it works I will say a date that I am 100% sure what the final score was because I was there or it really stands out in my mind. Without looking it up try to come up with the final score and who won.

If you know you are right, then drop another one and it will continue.

July 14th vs. Cleveburg.

Freddy Garcia gets rocked in the first couple innings, but thanks to A.J. Pierzynski, we win on a walk-off homerun- all while rockin' the '59 jerseys!

April 16 vs. Seattle

If you blinked, you missed it. Buerhle needs only 99 minutes to beat the M's.

Not part of the thread but I remember wanting half-off the ticket price because the game was only 1 hour 35 mins. Spent more time on the Expressway going home than I did at the park.

I believe he also struck out a career-high 12 batters that warm, mid-April afternoon.

Who got the last put-out of that game?

That April 16, 2-1 White Sox winner was a Saturday afternoon Fox game of the week, if I recall correctly. Both runs came from solo shots from Konerko. Then Ichiro scored the Mariners lone run in the 9th inning.

Wasn't it Shingo after Konerko's defensive replacement Ross Gload made that wicked stab at a line drive?

We have a winner! I thought Konerko made that stab so I looked it up to be sure. Yep, Gload was put in for the 9th. Double points for VSF23!

I was at that game as well, and I noticed Gload as soon as he put him in, and then the next thing you know he is making that dive and the stab, and the Sox are 1 - 0 and never looked back!!

Who woulda thunk it?

Anyone know who hit the ground ball that drove in Konerko for the only run the Sox needed?

August 1st at Baltimore, the Sox doubled up the O's 6-3 but a BS ejection cost Buehrle his streak. That was the only game I made it to this season and the first Sox game I got to see with my Dad in 3 years.

We were in 520, front row, which is practically even with 1st base. They put Gload in the top of the 9th and we wondered what the heck is Ozzie doing taking Konerko out?
In retrospect, Ozzie looked like a genius; like he just knew that switch to Gload would pay off.
