In case anyone was interested Kelly opted not to go to the minors and instead opted for free agency.

Bet the Cubs give him a shot.

Does any team need a BP pitcher to warm up a catcher?

He was with them the full year? I don't remember seeing him at all.

I thought for sure I would of seen him on ESPN serving up some home runs.

At some point he hurt himself while in the bullpen I believe.

he was with the Dodgers until he tore a tendon in his ankle walking out of the bullpen. IIRC, he was the LAST pitcher they had that game, and a position player ended up having to pitch since he was unable to do so...

Oh yeah we should sign him. Don't forget to pick up Ken Vinning, Matt Ginter, and Kevin Burne while your at it.

Really wouldn't be a bad pick up for the cubs. Anything is better than the bullpen they currently have.

Plus with Kelly coming back from surgery, he could learn from the best the Cubs have on how to perform and succeed in simulated games.

Geez, I never saw why this guy got such a raw deal wth the Sox. I thought he pitched pretty well for us.

I seem to remember that he got in Ozzie's doghouse last season for some reason and was left in AAA to rot. What gives with all the hostility?

Good luck geting a MLB contract with that injury, Kelly.

Harry Tinywaist is a big fan of his and recently said that he had some kind of new hip surgery, that if successful, will be called the "Kelly Wunsch Surgery" in the same way that "Tommy John" surgery got it's name.

Yea.. but man.... 'Tommy John Surgery' sounds a HELL of a lot cooler than 'Kelly Wunsch Surgery'.

He's was a pretty good situational lefty for us; but that's it, situational, like a Bradford or Embree.
Our lefties, until Marte starting walking so many, were much better than situational, so we didn't need a situational lefty.
