Worries about Foulke being traded are crap.

All you guys who are worried about Foulke being traded because Sox Management hasn't seriously negotiated with him are way off base. The reason they haven't really sat down & talked is because Foulke is signed through the end of the 2003 season. That is 2 more seasons after this one.

So I ask you , WHAT'S THE RUSH?!!?!? I think KW is right not to worry about a player he has under contract for another 2 seasons after this one & taking care of Maggs.

I think all this talk about Foulke being traded is more paranoia ( Albeit justified paranoia after what happened in 1997 ) that the Sox are going to raise the white flag again.

He is only signed through this year. He will go through arbitration again this winter.

Right, and he'd have to do arbitration after the 2002 season as well. I kinda wish they'd just step up and get him locked in for 3 or 4 years, but the last time Jerry signed a pitcher for that long, we wanted him gone in 2 months. Of course, we suffered thru 3 years of Navarro...
