View Full Version : Will you cry if the Sox win the ALCS?

I for one will definitely cry. I cry very little (deaths and such). But these will be tears of joy if the Sox make it to the WS. I had very serious surgery when the season started and have invested so much of my recovery time to following the Sox (probably why I recovered so fast). This season means so much to me, and nothing would be sweeter than to see the Sox hoist the WS trophy!

I still don't have the mind set of how good the white sox have been doing and where they are in the playoffs, it just hasn't sunk in yet how special this team is and that this could be the year finally.

I've been waiting 46 years. Don't think I will cry, but it's hard to say when you've never had this feeling in your entire life.

I will be at work tomorrow with every TV on in the center, if and when the Sox win I do think there will be some tears of joy in the back room, hopefully not in front of the co-workers....:D:

GO SOX, ONE MORE FOR THE PROMISED LAND!!!!

I may jump around the house and run down the street, but definitly no crying. Save the crying for really big stuff (like World Series wins).

I'm lucky enough to have some of the best seats in the house throughout the playoffs. Going with my dad, and one of the biggest Sox fans of all time, both of whom were there in '59. If we have to return to the Cell to clinch the ALCS or in game 1 of the WS, I don't know if any of us will hold back.

Yes, but it will be tears of joy.

It will be revenge for Britt Burns having to come out and pitch the 10th in '83.

Well, I did cry when Tito Landrum hit the homer. I was there, too.

Absolutely. I don't care what anyone thinks. I told my friends when the playoffs began that whatever the Sox do, there is going to be crying on my part. I was hoping that they would be tears of joy.

Crying? :?:

Only if I slam my coconut into the ceiling's light fixture while jumping up for joy as the last out is recorded... then I can see myself crying all the way to the emergency room.

Yes! With the suffering that our family has went through and enjoying this win without many big time Sox fans. I will cry.

Hell, I choked up after wins with Cleveland at the end of the year along with the first series over the BoSox. Yes, I admit I am a pus*y!

No... I just prefer to jump up and down and scream... I don't cry over sporting events, period. Didn't cry when the Bears won it. Didn't cry when the Bulls won it. Didn't cry when the Buckeyes won it and they were the first team I ever rooted for.

I also never buy "league champion" apparel. Only when they win it all. The pennant will be nice, but it's only a stepping stone...

I was almost in tears last night when they caught the final out. I just realized this team is one win away from playing in the World Series and they're on an ungodly tear. I'm betting it'll happen tonight but I know I'll be bawling my eyes out when they win the whole thing.

I don't know what I am going to do. I have played out the scenario of the Sox making the World Series in my mind a million times my whole life, but I really don't know how I will react when it actually happens for real.
I hope I find out tonight.

--Mrs. Aloha Those are the moments that really get me. I'd probably get a little misty eyed tonight too, just watching the players celebrate. But if I were at Game 1 of the Series, with the intros.... and the montage.... and Gene Honda saying your 2005 American League Champion Chicago White Sox!"... and "Thunderstruck" ... and the energy of the ballpark....

OK, I'm getting way ahead of myself there. But that would be emotional.

My thoughts are along the same line. That series still burns me. But eveything going on now will make up for it.

Still no crying. But my smile will be from ear to ear.
