Does anyone know when World Series tickets will go on sale? I was thinking it would be today but still no word. Anyone heard from another source perhaps when they may be?

Well, I checked the past few days, and no where is there an answer. So, if anyone actually knows, please just answer the question and help the guy and myself out.
Thank you in advance.

Anything new heard on the World Series ticket front? I would hate to miss that day even if the chances are pretty slim we can actually get any. I would assume there would only be about 5 thousand tickets per game available.

If this is true, this sucks. I will be on the train heading to the city at 8am. My goal is to make it to at least one game every series they are in this post season. If they make it and I can't get one I'm not going to be too happy!

If you're gonna play, then at least give the right time. Tickets have ALWAYS went on sale at 9am. FOR EVERYTHING, weither it is world series, Wrestling, or the freaking Starland Vocal Band.

I'm skeptical of this info as well... why would they go on sale so soon and the public not be aware of it? I doubt they will go on sale until next week sometime.

And I sure hope the prices are a little lower... don't they remember we Sox fans work for a living?

Any word on where standing room is? Is it somewhere in the upper deck (hard to believe based on actual standing room up there) or on the concourse? (hard to believe because of the rules they have in place to keep people in their seats) If it's on the concourse, count me in, that would be the best deal in the house.

I've checked Ticketmaster and the only listing is that the Houston Astros are offering tickets for games 3, 4 and 5. Obviously they know something nobody else does...

Apparently traffic is really bad down there to because the Atlanta Braves are offering World Series parking for games 3, 4 and 5.

they usually list game dates in advance with a MORE INFO field that changes to FIND TICKETS when the onsale actually occurs...

perhaps that will also take place at 9PM or whenever...

The Cardinals are having a lottery to win the chance to buy WS tickets. I'm surprised something like this isn't happening here, but maybe it will. As someone else said, the best source for ticket info. is whitesox.com They've had a press release regarding tickets for each round. The local news will be all over it as well. As for the WS pricing, I know face value for lower deck reserved is $140

You have the feeling because he is lying. MLB prices tickets for the playoffs and there are 3 price levels and no standing room. Upper boxes and lower reserves are the same price. Lower boxes and upper reserves have there own price. Also tickets don't go on sale at ticketmaster at 8 AM.

There may not be standing room for any games in Chicago but they do sell them for other venues. HERE (http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/stl/ticketing/postseason_prices.jsp) for example.

I should have clarified, for USCF, MLB has a 3 price points , lower box and club $175, upper box and lower reserved $140 and upper reserved which I don't know the price but somewhere between $110-125. I also heard for anyone bringing their kids if the Sox should advance, the fundamentals area will be closed. ESPN or Fox will be using that area to stage its pregame and postgame shows.

Interesting email from the Sox to season ticket holders.

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

Are you interested in adding full season seats to your current season plan? If so, now is the time to do it! We would like to extend a limited time offer for you to purchase tickets to all four potential World Series games at U.S. Cellular Field.

A small number of tickets have been returned to us from Major League Baseball, therefore we only have a limited number of tickets available in the lower and club level seating areas.

The number of World Series ticket strips available for purchase must match the number of 2006 Full Season Tickets that you add on (limit 8 World Series ticket strips). All 2006 Season locations will be assigned on a first come, first served basis and World Series ticket strips will be available while supplies last. Please note a 50% non-refundable deposit is due for the add-on season tickets. You will be invoiced for the remaining 50%. Full payment is due for the World Series ticket strips.

If you are interested, please contact me as soon as possible at (312)674-5339. Again, there are a limited number of tickets and a short time frame to take advantage of this offer.

They only sell standing room for the regular season, not any post-season games for some reason. And to the poster who was wondering where you can stand with standing room, the answer is anywhere you want! Upper deck hallways that lead to the seats, the concourse in the 100 level, anywhere except club level. I know because I have done this all year long!
