Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world
She took the midnight train going anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised on the South Side
He took the midnight train going anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,
everybody wants a thrill
Paying anything to roll the dice,
just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
Don't stop believing!!!
Hold on to the feeling
Streetlight people

Nice, I would also like to ad these lyrics

Mother mother tell your children
That their time has just begun
I have suffered for my anger
There are wars that canít be won

Father father please believe me
I am laying down my guns
I am broken like an arrow
Forgive me
Forgive your wayward son

Everybody needs somebody to love
(mother, mother)
Everybody needs somebody to hate
(please believe me)
Everybodyís bitching
ícause they canít get enough
And itís hard to hold on
When thereís no one to lean on

Faith: you know youíre gonna live thru the rain
Lord you got to keep the faith
Faith: donít let your love turn to hate
Right now we got to
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Lord we got to keep the faith

Tell me baby when I hurt you
Do you keep it all inside
Do you tell me alís forgiven
And just hide behind your pride

Everybody needs somebody to love
(mother, father)
Everybody needs somebody to hate
(please donít leave me)
Everybodyís bleeding
ícause the times are tough
Well itís hard to be strong
When thereís no one to dream on

Faith: you know youíre gonna live thru the rain
Lord you got to keep the faith
Now you know is not too late
Oh you got to keep the faith
Faith: donít let your love turn to hate
Right now we got to
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Keep the faith
Lord we got to keep the faith

Walking in the footsteps
Of societyís lies
I donít like what I see no more
Sometimes I wish that I was blind
Sometimes I wait forever

To stand out in the rain
So no one sees me cryiní
Trying to wash away the pain
Mother father

Thereís things Iíve done I canít erase
Every night we fall from grace

Itís hard with the world in yours face
Trying to hold on, trying to hold on

Faith: you know youíre gonna live thru the rain
Lord you got to keep the faith
Faith: donít let your love turn to hate
Right now we got to keep the faith
Faith: now itís not too late
Try to hold on, trying to hold on
Keep the faith

How about these:

I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride,
I'm wanted....wanted....dead or alive.

How about this as well?

Monkeys love cookies
They cannot resist
Don't deny them your cookies
For they will be pissed

Cookieless monkeys are not very polite
If no cookies exist
These monkeys will fight

Monkeys love cookies
They love that crunchety-crunch
Damn it little monkey!
Stop stealing my lunch!

Lets bash those rally monkeys tonight!

From Minnesota's favorite slowcore band, Low, I give you "Monkey"...I heard the chorus yesterday and thought of this series.

Oh my my
Little white lies
I swear I'm gonna make it right
This time
It's not the radio
Turn it way down low
Telling me things I do not know I know

Tonight you will be mine
Tonight the monkey dies
Tonight you will be mine
Tonight the monkey dies

Now who's to blame
You used to be the same
Now you won't let me speak your name
What a shame
It's a suicide
Shut up and drive
We're never going to make the light
but it's all right

Tonight you will be mine
Tonight the monkey dies
Tonight you will be mine
Tonight the monkey dies

I thought this song was appropriate:

Hey there, White Sox players,
What the heck are you doing with the double-clutch?
(I'm talkin' 'bout you, AJ and Joe)

Hey there, White Sox players,
If you're going to lay a bunt down, couldn't you at least disguise it halfway?
(I'm talkin' 'bout you, Jermaine and Aaron)

And while we're at it,
A base hit with runners in scoring position,
Might do the job,
Instead of popping up,
And reminding us way too much of 2000

Damnit, since i first read this post I've got the song from the original poster in my head.

..And I wouldn't want it any other way. It's helping me get through this day until game time.

don't let go of my hand
now the darkness is gone
and this will be our year
took a long time to come

As usual, the Zombies got it right.

First of all, I am the real South Side Hitmen

Second of all last night's game reminded me of this little ditty

Darkness imprisoning me
All that I see
Absolute horror
I cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell

Love to provide the service. I rather have All Nancy Day everyday but when they play the "canned" music I rather hear Journey than the endless mindless rap or club music they pipe in 90% of the time.

Don't Stop Believing!!!

That reminded me of this instant classic of a movie:

Sometimes... believing is all we have.

-Lisa from Team America. **** Yea.

Gary: Why? What reason do you have to believe?

Knowing the story behind that song I don't quite see how it fits...

I like these lyrics:

Boom! Here comes the Boom!
Ready or not, here comes the boys from the South(side).
Boom! Here comes the Boom!
How you like me now?

I am Henry the eighth, I am
Henry the eighth I am, I am
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before
And every one was an Henry
(Henry!)
She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam
(No Sam!)
I'm 'er eighth old man, I'm Henry
(Henry!)
Henry the eighth I am

Second verse, same as the first

I am Henry the eighth, I am
Henry the eighth I am, I am
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before
And every one was an Henry
(Henry!)
She wouldn't have a Willie or a Sam
(No Sam!)
I'm 'er eighth old man, I'm Hen-er-y
(Hen-er-y!)
Henry the eight I am

[Verse 1]

When you're alone, you ask yourself
what are you searching for?
Deep in the night, a dream is born
one that you can't ignore.

If you think you can find the passion
and you're ready to take a chance,
If you really believe you can make it
then the power is in your own hands

[Chorus]

It's the moment of truth you're giving it all,
standing alone willing to fall.
If you can do it, get up and prove it,
get up and show them who you are.
It's the moment of truth, it's all on a line,
this is the place, this is the time,
waiting forever, it's now or it's never, nothing can stop you now.

[Verse 2]

Once in your life, you make a choise, ready to risk it all.
Deep in your soul, you hear a voice, answering to the call.
Though you know that it won't be easy,
it's a promise you made for love,
for the people that keeps believing,
and the one that you're thinking of.

[Chorus x3]

So let me get this straight - the White Sox own Chicago and the Cubs own the world? Well I guess there are people who like "loveable losers" and Tom Petty did say "even the losers get lucky sometimes" so who knows - the cubs may indeed win a World Series before the end of this century and possibly claim Chicago at that time. Until then you are owned by the White Sox.

Reinsdorf - 45 seasons - 7 World Championships

Tribune - 25 seasons - Zero.

Well at least you have the WB and of course Hall of Famer Carrie Wood.
