My brother just called and said he heard the tail end of report where the Angels pitching coach said that Colon is NOT expected to be able to pitch in this series. He said IF they advance he MIGHT be able to pitch one game in the WS.

Anyone else hear this?

Haven't heard it confirmed but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it were true.

Can anybody find their roster posted anywhere yet? It had to be in this morning, right?

I don't know if he is not going to be on the roster, he just heard the coach saying his back was really stiff and would proabbly not be able to pitch.

If you're injured badly enough to be removed from Game 5 of the ALDS, you better be injured pretty bad. If I were an Angels fan, I would be disappointed if he wasn't able to pitch on the ALCS, but I would be kinda pissed at him if he could pitch in the ALCS.

Anyway, good news for the White Sox if its true.

I know, I was just curious. I'm not actually sure which I would prefer - if he's on the roster, there's always the chance he could heal and be able to come in and shut us down, but if he's not they can replace him with somebody else. Hmm.

I imagine a hobbled Colon would be less effective than a healthy Santana. The Sox don't have much success against either of them, though.

guess thats good because he is usually dominate ,but would have loved to have them trot him out against the sox injured so we could destroy him.

I just had a buddy call me and tell me this, is this 100% true? I just went to the Angels web site and he's still listed. What's the score by the way?

sure. that would be way cooler than destroying him while he was healthy.

Losing the Cy Young winner... that's colossal.

The Angels game notes are at http://presspass.mlb.com/pp_viewer.asp?d=26320They don't seem to list a roster, but they do list the first 4 Angels starters as Byrd, Washburn, Lackey, and Santana.
