Rotation for ALCS?

I'd say:

1. Jose
(Gotta do it)

2. Garland
(Otherwise too much rest?)

3. Mark

4. Freddie
(on the road...)

5. Jose

6. Garland
(Or Mark again?)

7. Mark
(Or Garland?)

I believe Ozzie previously said that Garland would pitch the next game, whether it were Game 4 against Boston or Game 1 of the ALCS. If that's true, I kind of like the way the rotation sets up. Game 1 isn't huge in a seven-game series, but Game 2 could be, so IMO the Sox are better off having Jose in that slot. Also, it gives Ozzie plenty of options in possible games 5 thru 7.

Game 1 - Garland
Game 2 - Contreras
Game 3 - Buehrle
Game 4 - Freddy (on the road)
Game 5 - Garland or Jose
Game 6 - Jose or Buehrle
Game 7 - Buehrle or Freddy or Garland

I think I heard on the postgame show yesterday that Ozzie was going with Garland in Game 1.

That means the rotation is (theoretically):

1. Garland
2. Contreras
3. Buehrle
4. Garcia
5. Garland
6. Contreras
7. Buehrle

However, with three days off, Ozzie can do just about anything with the rotation that he wants.
