ESPN Is all over the havent won a division playoff game since 1917

Did we not make it to the world series in 1959? Wouldnt that mean we won a game and a series SINCE 1917

I could be wrong, but I guess I dont see how

IIRC, no division playoffs in 1959. Best team in each league went to the WS.

wow, so if this was the modern era same system it would have went right to a Sox-Cardinals world series?

No offense, but, man, don't people know ANYTHING about baseball history? I can't believe how many people don't seem to know that they didn't always have playoffs...
