Great to get this win, don't get me wrong...but I don't know if I can wait three days!!! Looks like a few trips to the gym.

What do we do? We revel in this SWEEP, enjoy every single minute of it, and resuscitate our hearts after tonight's 6th inning! :bandance:

I second that sentiment. Celebrate tonight. But, dawn tomorrow, the team should start thinking about game 1.

I'll be doing work this weekend so I can leave to go to the games on Tues. and Wed. I am quite pleased we swept... now only if the Yankees wouldn't roll over. I'd love whoever faces us to have to work for it :D:

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming... :gulp:

I had a hard enough time without the sox playing on Thursday, I don't know if I can survive 3 entire days.

Yeah, I'll be able to actually watch NFL football on Sunday for once. I'll still take baseball any day though.

And mostly RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get my heart rate down a little

Man, isn't it beautiful to be still talking about White Sox baseball at this time of year!! We revel for now, but starting Saturday afternoon (or whenever we wake up), let's get right back at it!

May the Yanks win tomorrow and the next day. I want a Sox-Yanks ALCS!:)

Be glad you're not a Red Sox fan. You would be looking to wait more than five months for another game at Fenway.

Exactly. With the exception of the Bears home opener which I attended, I have yet to watch any football at all this year where I wasn't focusing primarily on a baseball game.

I'm going to be in the prone position on the couch from 10 am tomorrow until 8 pm Sunday and loving every minute of it. Beer in the fridge, chili on the stove and that October chill in the air.

Come Tuesday, time to think about baseball again. But meanwhile, I get to live life for just a couple days.

Here's what we do: in the NY-LA series, cheer for lots of rain in and a couple 14 inning nail-biters where every pitcher on both teams is overworked.

I'm going to relax. I'm obviously loving this postseason, but a few days to enjoy things and not be a nervous wreck will be nice.

Max: Then don't watch the Hoosiers play Saturday!

Just kidding--I'm one of you.

As am I, and we're gonna school the Illini at 11am tomorrow. The Hoeppner era has begun! :redneck

Seriously tho - I'm curious about Marte. Will he be on the roster for the ALCS? Certainly no reason to keep, right? Duque and McCarthy are far more important.

I think any intelligent Red Sox fan knew their chances were not good.

I will be watching the other playoff series. I just love October baseball. I have already watched about 15 hours of baseball this week and will probably watch another 9 tomorrow.

This break does worry me, this will be a long wait for us, esp if the series goes 5 games, and the last thing a hot team needs is days off

This break is as good for me as it is for the team. I need some time to regroup:D:

I don't see the Padres winning a game against the Cardinals. Plus the Sox don't have to use the #1 starter and will go with Garland. Sweeping almost makes you feel like the Sox have a 6 man rotation.

I need the rest! My place looks like a disaster (my 15 yr old is a slob) and I have not been cleaning behind him. (Yikes:o: ) So atleast part of the day while watching some college FB will be cleaning. Server down at work can't work so I think sleep until the bears game. . I am so full of joy I am ready to jump out of my skin so I will watch all 3 games at some point this weekend just to smile some more.:D: (I luv Tivo)

For me, drying out and giving my liver a rest. And of course, loading up the fridge with more beer for the next series. Also a couple of days to give my fingernails a break. These close games take their toll.

BINGO! You hit the nail on the head CLR....that's EXACTLY what I plan on doing. I'm rewatching the entire series this weekend. :D:

Let's see:

1. Remind myself why I love Tivo.
2. Call Cub fans and ask them if they're going to any Cubs' game this week. Oops! I'm sorry, their season is over!
3. Do some sweeping up around the house, I just learned from the best how to do it!
4. Call Sox fans a re-live every single second of all three games over and over and over.
5. Repeat number 4.
6. Take up residence on WSI to enhance number 4.
7. Plan which Sox gear I will wear for each game.

Whew! I'm tired just thinking about all the work I have to do!:D:

I'm with you. Hoeppner is the real deal. I'm actually somewhat confident of winning a game against a Big Ten team (even if it is Illinois). What a odd feeling!

I also enjoy reading/listening to all the coverage of our SWEEP. Savor the moment.
