A really nice gesture, compared to say the real physical and courtroom battles over some famous Barry "BALCO" Bonds HR balls we've seen here in SF

Kudos to retired detective Tom Harmson, who only took an autographed ball and bat in return.

"It means more to him than it does to me,'' Harmsen said Thursday. "I cared more about the fact he hit the damn thing than getting the baseball.'' And Harmsen, a lifelong Sox fan, already has given the bat away, to Kelly's grandson. He still has the autographed ball, which he plans to give to his 19-year-old daughter.

That right there is a true Sox fan. Kudos to him.

If I were Gooch, I would've thrown in a playoff seat. However, it is great that Sox fans do stuff like this. Maybe he doesn't need a playoff seat though if he has one for the game.

Says a lot that he only requested a bat and ball in return. Good work.

I would have only asked for a seat on the bench for the rest of the year. That's all... :D:

Anyone know who the "chunky guy" is with the cigar in the lower left corner of picture of the White Sox celebrating?

Why? He has a front row spot in the bullpen!

Another classy move by Chicago's finest!
