Where have you all seen White Sox banners and signs in and around the city?

So far I've seen the Sox signs ringing Block 37, the banners on the lightposts around City Hall and a big banner saying "Go Sox Go" over the door of a building at LaSalle & Washington.

Anyone see any other buildings showing their Sox pride?

One of the downtown buildings has their windows lit up to say "Sox Pride"...I saw this on the news.

I've just seen some "GO SOX!" mini-posters hanging on various objects on my route to class (Jackson St.).

I saw "Go Sox!" on a marquee of some restaurant in Niles. There's more love for the Sox in the Northern suburbs than you'd think. Most are "Chicago fans" - Cub fans first, but with the Sox representing the city, they want the Sox to win. In fact, I haven't met any anti-Sox fans yet.

I'm hoping 55 E. Monroe puts the Sox logo on their facade. That logo isn't your standard block letters but rather the Sox logo in the Olde English font. They have cardboard inserts that they put in specific windows to create the effect.

Look for it soon...

Out here in Homewood, out buses will often put GO SOX! in their destination displays, not just at playoff time but around Opening Day or during big series (unfortunatly not the cubs one though), and you can bet that they're doing it now.

Not seeing a ton of Sox love in Dupage county. In 2003, all the businesses had GO sCrUBS on their signs. Not seeing that for the Sox, not even on the sports bars! Too many dang yuppies out here I guess.

The BlueCross building does say SOX PRIDE, however, its the ONLY building on our skyline that is doing so. Back in 2003, there were about 5 buildings on the skyline (yes, blue cross also did them too) ALL proclaiming their lust for that other team. I was hoping we'd get the same buildings to participate .........

ESPN made dang sure they kept showing our skyline during the games and commercial breaks ......... Im finding out they arent doing the same now.

Back in early August, I made sure I went out & bought a really nice Sox flag to fly in front of our house and ours in the only one showing that kind of love- or any love- for the Sox. I think I've seen one other house in Des Plaines with a small Sox flag in front of it.

I forgot to add two things. At Romano's Restaurant on Oakton in Des Plaines, it has said "GO W SOX" on their marquis since June or July. And last night I was on the Kennedy and on the sign just before the Cumberland exit, where they show travel times, it said "GO SOX!"

There is a huge crane being used to build the lastest condo tower in downtown Evanston that has a White Sox flag on the top of it. Actually the flag has been there all summer and is showing some wear and tear. I don't think that many people notice it because it's so high up that it can be difficult to read, but it's amusing to know that a White Sox flag flies over the Cubs' stronghold of downtown Evanston.
I've seen more Sox stuff around Evanston this summer, and especially the last week, than ever before. I watched Game 2 at a bar here and almost everyone was cheering for the Sox, much to my surprise.

On Elston Ave., just south of Damen/Fullerton is a fitness outlet store and they have a "Go White Sox" written on their info board ouside the store.

Office Max by Block 37 still has Rally Monday posters inside the store.

That could be mine. It's true that there isn't much love for the Sox in Des Plaines. Heck, just last night a cubbie-loving bartender noticed my Sox hat and told me that he would never go to the Cell, cause he heard that drunken Sox fans beat a Cubs fan to death right outside the stadium last year. Unbelievable...

Sorry to resurrect a sort of old thread, but I noticed last night driving up LSD from the game, there are at least two other buildings... one I was unsure of what it was called has "GO SOX" on the wide side and "SOX" on the narrow side, and the Stone Container Building (the diamond-face bldg) has "GO SOX" on a light board. If anyone can get a nice shot that shows all three of these buildings (maybe from the lake or the peninsula where the planetarium is), I would love to have it as a wallpaper. Otherwise, I may just have to go snap one myself.
Thanks,
Mike

Does anyone know if the CNA (?) Building, (the bright red one near the Sears Tower) has anything in their windows ? In the past, I remember them spelling GO CUBS or GO SOX when they were in the playoffs in 2000, 1998, etc. I also remember during the Bulls championships, they actually had the Bulls logo in their windows. Very cool.

It would be worth, um, "resurrecting" it so the creative minds of WSI can have some post-season fun. Let's see what you can come up with, folks!

My neighborhood is probably displaying the most Sox pride per capita. Tons of houses have Sox flags/window displays (I have a couple of things in my front room window), and lots of stores on 31st St. and Halsted have stuff in their windows.

My laundry facility on 31st and Parnell has Sox logos painted on the upper perimeter with the words "Chicago White Sox." That has been there forever tho; but, I love it, and I love this neighborhood.

I can't vouch for when they're up and down... they are usually U.S. flags, so they may take them down with the other U.S. flags at night? I see them in the morning at about 8:15, and after work at about 5:15-5:30. I recommend it, and I've GOT to get some pictures.

Here in NW Indiana, I see a lot of businesses that put "GO SOX" (fittingly at Freddy's Steak House in Hammond, for example) or something on their message boards. The former Spot-Not car wash in Highland has had "Let's Go Go White Sox" since late September (before they won the division).

Marshall Field's ran a GO SOX full page ad in the front section of today's Tribune. I think that might set them back $30,000. Flags would be nice, too.

I went downtown last night to try and get a shot, but the 'Go Sox' one had been switched to a ribbon, and the 'Sox Pride' one was normally lighted, they'll probably do it on game days. Anyways, this is all I saw on buildings, I know, very blurry, for some reason it was the worst shot that came of the ones I took, but if you see the full size image, you can see the Sox pride.

Also, the Art Institute had a "Go Sox Go!" banner. Around Roselle, one of the district parks on Roselle Road had White Sox support on it, but not that much in the banner. The radio on the way to downtown last night talked about how the Art Institute lions would be getting Sox hats tomorrow, as will (or already has) the Picasso and some other statues. Also, Daley is handing out Ozzie faces in the Daley Plaza tomorrow

I'm in the Schaumburg/Roselle area...

There's a bar on Irving Park Road (19) in Roselle that has a "South Side Pride" banner hanging in front...and quite a few businesses I've seen with "Go Go White Sox" (or something similar) on their marquees...
