You had to know that once the White Sox made the playoffs, the media would come up with a "Curse of The Black Sox" story. They love these things.

Well, okay. Whole lot of extraneous verbiage. It's the press, so what else is new?

That article would have been a lot shorter with some judicious editing. It might have read something like this:

Reporter: "What about the curse, Ozzie?"
Guillen: "Eight Men Out was a good movie."
Reporter: "What about the curse, Joey?"
Cora: "What curse?"
Whole team in unison: "We ain't afraid of no curse."
