Why not send a pic of Iguchi's homer? Graffy was a good guy.

Yes, Graffanino was a good guy. But I heard Buerle say something interesting. He was like, it was unfortunate it happened to him, but when we're playing against each other we have to take everything we can get. That's so true. Nothing against Graffanino, but I thought that error was something magical. It was...awsome.

Of course they'll take it, but graffy is a friend to a lot of those guys. I would assume that they're all happy it happened, but wish it was to anyone else on that club.

Graffy is one of the truly good guys of the game and he has just entered the 3rd level of hell.
I wouldn't wish this on anyone(save maybe sheffield or bonds )
However; These are the kind of things people talk about over the winter when they are remembering a run to the championship.

From ChicagoSports.com:

Joe Crede heads to third base after Red Sox second baseman Tony Graffanino's (background) error on Juan Uribe's grounder in fifth inning.

I just read yesterday that Tony was in Konerko's wedding.

Man, no wonder konerko felt so bad for him.

of course, if it had to be graffy, I'm sure none of the sox would change anything.

At least he looked at Graffy. What about when Francona came to get Wells in the 7th? That was not a jolly fat man on the mound.

A good YTMND would be:

- pic of graffy's error
- berman audio, screaming "oh no!!!!!!!"

Is this like when Konerko felt bad for Lee when Uribe psyched him at out at 2nd base? :redneck

Maybe Graffanino had a Snickers bar in his front pocket that Wells was eyeing...

Pitiful that a veteran like Wells makes faces and whiney gestures during a playoff game when a teammate makes an error. Way to play the game with "guts and glory" fat boy!

Weren't a lot of us hoping that we picked up Graffanino mid-year so he could help us?

I guess he did.

I think it was Crede who best defended Graffy. Joe said the ball takes hops and you don't put your glove on the ground to get a grounder because it will hop and bounce off your glove. Joe said Uribe's grounder was one of those very rare ones that actually stayed on the ground.

Of course Roger's watering the infield so much it became a swamp (to better do bunts) before the game had nothing to do with how the ball rolled. RB deserves five full shares when they vote the post season shares!

BTW, I loved the look on Wells' face after Gooch's blast-he was smiling!
