This is a first I think here....I remember when the Angels started the craze, I was hoping that one day I could have a Black and White Stick to hit together in the Post Season, should be rockin' and the rain should hold up too!

i actually remember the chicago wolves as being one of the first to use them.

I don't like them, but if the Sox give us the opportunity to use them then it's fine with me!!!

Ugh, I hate those things. I don't like the fact that people feel they need artificial noise to be effective. Regular crowd noise is much better than those things.

I hate thundersticks.

Do we really need artificial noise? Last night was the loudest I've ever heard Comiskey. Those sticks are for children. Total nuisance.

I`m not a big thunder stick fan. I will probably leave mine in the package and sell them on Ebay in 20 years.

Good Call. I'm not gonna go off and make an anti-stick statement at the game, but a sweet souvie never hurts. I don't think it'll hurt for ESPN to have to get a shot of 40k+ Sox fans goin undeniably buck-wild, either.

Volume will be there regardless...

Thundersticks blow. Real fans can make enough noise without banging together two inflated tubes.

You write tomorrow's Cubune headline:

RED SOX FANS ASSAULTED AFTER WHITE SOX VICTORY
Giveaway "Thunder Sticks" Promotion Goes Awry

Knowing from the niu huskies game, they are annoying. Alot of people end up fighting each other when them and bein morons and it makes it hard to concentrate on the game

Also think they are lame. At least everyone will have them. It's better than just one fan with thundersticks who annoy everyone else around them. Or those "clapper things" around their necks!

I'm glad to get the souvenier and hope to use the thundersticks a lot tonight, but I like the towels yesterday better. But, I'll support the team/crowd and use them.

Or the people behind you constantly hit you in the head with them. Sometimes it's an accident, sometimes it's on purpose. Either way, I don't liek em.

And Sox fans don't need thundersticks. In my experiences, Sox fans are loud enough without artificial support.

There was a thunderstick giveaway earlier in the season. I didn't see many people using them. I hope they're black or white this time, last time they were yellow.

I would like tho if we had a responsible stadium fan base, to get a japanese type crowd goin. People playin music, beating little plastic cup thingies in unison, it really is quite amazing to hear them go at it

Thundersticks were the main reason I was rooting against the Angels in 2002. I really wanted those things to go away. My luck, only after they won the WS.

ThunderSticks are lame.

I agree - I think they take away from the real roar of the crowd. They sound so artificial.

I hate them, we don't need manufactured noise, especially at the Cell, we know how to create electricity, ask Ed Farmer

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the thunderstix. I was in the second to last section down the left field line in the upper deck and we got it LOUD with almost no one using the thunderstix. I'm hoarse and can't fell my palms, that's how real fans make noise.

I'll be honest, when I had the game on the radio at work in the begining and everyone was clapping in unison with or without thundersticks, it was so loud and so cool that it game me goosebumps and hard nipples, the crowds were great the last 2 days, well done.

OK I started this, I'll finish it...I'll forever be a fan of clapping and screaming...40K plus, only 10K used them at once....they were annoying!

Almost no one used those things at the game tonight. Reinforcing once again....White Sox fans are the best.

ThunderSticks are lame.Same here. I prefer to make my noise the old fashioned way, i.e. clapping and yelling.

I popped any thunderstick that was near my section. They don't belong on the southside.

Most didn't use them which is was great by me. I was afraid some idiot in front of me would be bashing them (or someone behind me bashing me) with those dumbass sticks but it wasn't the case. The only bashing in my section were high fives in the 5th and 9th inning.
