I asked my daughter before she left for school if the Sox were going to win and she said emphatically, "YES". So there you go.

I don't know why, but I am relatively calm about today. I've always found it curious that I get nervous before big games of my favorite teams. I can't do anything about the outcome, and yet I get tense, anxious etc. It's weird though, today. I just feel like this is going to happen. Maybe its a carry over buzz from passing my oral comprehensive exams. It's a similar feeling to the hours before the exam. I was as prepared as I could possibly be, and I was really comfortable with the test. I just kind of knew I was going to do ok. I feel the same way now. The Sox are going to do this thing. I really feel like a special October is beginning. Go Sox!

Man I am so excited.

I was stuck coming into work in the am but I'm leaving here early to make the game. I am having the hardest time focusing on anything, let me tell you.

I'm incredibly excited about today's game. Even more so because I work the morning shift, so I'll be done with work and at the bar by 2:30!

But I'm feeling very confident about this series. I can't wait for it to start, but I'm not overly concerned about the outcome. I love the piching matchup today with Contreras against Clement, and I think we have a big advantage in Game 3 with Garcia against Wakefield.

I'm fully expecting us to be up in the series 2-1 going into Game 4. And if I don't have to use my Game 5 tickets...even better.

Let's Go White Sox!!!

Damn, it has been that long since I ran home from high school, hoping my mother understood my father's instuctions to her on how to keep score of a game.

I heard Ozzie had the team out at the park this morning and had Crede and Uribe measure from home to first base and from home to the mound. He then said, "You'll find that these are the same dimensions we've had all year"

Yeah, I have a midterm today at 5! It will probably be like the 8th inning when it starts. Hopefully it'll be like 500-2 by then so I will not worry during the test. I just hope I hear fireworks during the test. I should probably study now, but I just cannot focus long enough.

Man this has got to be the slowest work day I have ever had. I was completely useless all day:tongue: barely got anything done. Less than half an hour til I shed these shackles and take the train on down to the game!

It's finally time for our team.

You know it and Dye said he wanted to win for all the Sox teams that didn't win before them.

Dye has been really improving his swing lately. I see him as a very important piece for our playoff run. Hopefully he will have the month of his career now.

I just couldn't miss the game today so I called in sick for work. I missed most of our 2000 playoff games so I'm pretty pumped.

Got to work all night, starting at 4, but it's a restaurant with a sports bar attached, so I am covered. I just hope the employees can run the shift themselves because I will be glued to a TV set most of the night.
