Does ESPN know something we don't? Or should we just assume that they are flat wrong?

I was watching Sports Rise on Comcast this morning while dressing for work, and they still said that Garcia would start Game 3. I personally think this would be the more credible source.

Ozzie said Garcia for game 3.

I saw Garcia on another site... MLB.com maybe? I can't imagine, with that gametime, they'd not have Freddy pitch during the day on the road. He's a big game pitcher and that scenario is right in his wheelhouse.

Let's see: Day Game on Friday? Check. Road Game on Friday? Check. Huge meaningful game on Friday? Check, Check, Check. Day Game + Road Game + Meaningful Game = Freddy Garcia.

Freddy is great on the road, great during the day, and shows up for big games. Seems like a no brainer to me.

But is the same true of Saturday? If we are to play on Saturday, it would be an even bigger game.

Still, when the Sox sweep, that sets Freddy to start on the road in the ALCS.

espn has no clue. At one point today on the sox's playoff page, they had game one on wednesday night...

Yahoo Sports has the same projected starters - but I think the Chicago media is a little bit more credible, so I'm going with Freddy for game 3. Interesting if it is Schilling in 3 and Wakefield in 4 - I guess it depends on what the series is - if we're up 2-0, then I wouldn't be surprised to be Ol' Bloody Sock out there for 3.

FWIW:

As expected, Guillen confirmed Mark Buehrle as his Game 2 starter, followed by Freddy Garcia and Jon Garland in Boston.
