I think I'm going to go to the park and then the bookstore in the morning, pick up a book to read on my vacation...Most likely "In the Pit with Piper" and maybe a new CD. I can't remember the last CD I purchased! Perhaps I'll get Ryan Adams..."Jacksonville Skyline." Maybe have lunch with the wife during her break...Oh man, I'll still have 2 1/2 hours to fill!!!:o: what are you going to do?

Works for me too, except nobody is allowed to come in my office after 3 since I'll have the MLB.tv feed on my computer screen.

Cos of ESPN? Are they not showing any games? They advertise the whole playoffs for $10, but since I bought the year, I have it included.

The e-mail I received from them said the games were blacked out. They will be archived shortly after the game ends. MLB audio will work.

I see now, just saw that I was subscribed. Didn't see that the games were only available after they ended. Oh well, audio will do fine I guess.

Read up until 2 and then go to class from 2:00 - 3:30 at which point I will be in a dead sprint to the bar to hopefully see the White Sox up 3-0 in the top of the 2nd.

I'm gonna be in class starting at 11:00. I am supposed to have class until 4:45, but I am skipping my last class and leaving my second to last class early so I can get back by 3:00.

until 12:30, take red line to the park about 12:30 or 1:00, meet up with family in the parking lot, soak in the playoff atmosphere, buy program, put the lineup in for scorekeeping, wait until gametime with beer in hand.

I'm a big Ryan Adams fan, but was disapointed with Jacksonville City Nights. Maybe it needs to grow on me.

I've got a job interview at 9:30. After that, I'll probably go for a jog and hit WSI for the latest updates. Then it's off to the park, maybe a stop at O'Malley's for a couple of Chicago dogs :gulp: beforehand. Got the worst seat in the house for Game 1, but who cares? Nothing like playoff baseball! :bandance:

I was busy all day, at work and then at home. Soccer practice for kids. Now I'm getting ready to watch the Packers. Sorry, Bears fans :) After they lose, I will spend quality time with spouse then go to sleep and, before I know it, it will be tomorrow.

I'll be in school all day, but god knows that's not where my mind's gunna be. I live down the street from my school, so im going to hobble down the street as fast as I can on my one hurt ankle... Hopefully I'll miss only the top of the first. I'll miss the first pitch either way, though :(:

I'll be getting up at about 3:30 a.m., having breakfast, and heading to the ballpark to meet with several other Windy City Sox Fans in Lot A where there will be a crew from Channel 2. We're supposed to be there at 5:15, but I'm not sure how long they want us there.

We'll probably be asked to make fools of ourselves on camera as "early arrivals," and then I'll head back home and wait for Jeff to get off work around 11:00 or so. Then we'll head for the park for real.

3:30AM? Yikes! I think you'll be needing to stop at Dunkin Donuts before the game for a sugar/coffee boost so you'll have enough energy to make some noise at game time.:D:

As for me, my understanding boss is letting me take a half day from work so I'll be working in the morning (probably getting little done) and then at 12 noon get a bite to eat and then hop on the Blue Line and head down to the ballpark for GAME 1 of the ALDS!! Man, does it ever feel good to say that!!! It's been a long 5 years since 2000.

1130 Hop on green line to the red line to USCF

Why not stay on the green line all the way to 35th Bronzeville? You can see the ballpark from that stop, it will be less crowded than the red line, and you won't have to transfer. Just a handy L tip that I thought I'd pass along.

Taking the kids to get haircuts. The barber lives in Bridgeport and is a huge Sox fan - he commutes to Evanston every day! My wife takes the kids to her parents' house out in Dundee while I meet with my dissertation adviser. Come home and watch the Cardinals-Padres game. Then head out to Tommy Nevins to watch the Sox game at 2:30.

My daughter will have me up at 8 AM, I'll hang around WSI while she watches Dora the Explorer, then while she naps I'll have to do some studdying. When she wakes up it's off to Costco for some shopping come home then it's a nap for both of us. We'll go for a run when she wakes up and her mother has strict instructions to be home NLT 3:30 PM ET to take over so I can watch the game!

Lamenting and sulking about how badly I want to be there and how I was supposed to be there with my fellow Sox fans tomorrow afternoon. I'll also curse the guy under my breath all day who promised me tickets when he shouldn't have, if he knew there was even the slightest chance he couldn't come through for me.

Other than the above, I'll be teaching until 1:50p and will then vacate my classroom for the staff meeting which should go until 3:30, as usual! I'll have to find a way to get a score update between 3:09 and 3:30. I'll zip on home and park myself in front of the t.v. until the game is over, and will be witnessing a White Sox winner!
