So whos taking the day off to watch the Sox on Tueday or Wednesday? I work rotaing shifts so I was scheduled to work at 530pm on Tuesday but seeing I have an extra vacation day to burn I used it for Tuesday.

Hopefully I will be off on most of the days the Sox will be playing in the ALCS and WS. If not...guess I will have to tap into my vacation days from my week in December.

Sadly no such breaks for me. Being in the Coast Guard, I still have to show up :(:

the nice thing about being on eastern time is that the games start at 4 and i leave work at 4. i'll start recording it on the DVR and then catch up to it live while i fast forward through the commercials.

I came across my tickets for tomorrow last week before the opponent and times were announced. I warned my boss back then that I wouldn't be at work Tuesday if it wound up being a day game. Looks like I'll be calling in tomorrow morning...

Tomorrow is Rosh Hoshanah, so if you are a teacher there is a good chance you'll be home from work. If you are a non-observant Jew like me, you will be spending said afternoon not in synagogue but in front of the television.

Taking a half day of work- leaving at 12:30. Gonna take the Kennedy to the Cumberland station, park, and take the El. Traffic might not be bad at that time of day, but I don't want to risk it. Plus, I'm sure the ramps and streets around the park are going to be insane. Also, I can leave the area any time I want to after the game (i.e. go to Jimbo's etc.) and not have to worry about traffic going home, or getting my car out of one of the lots.

Took half-days tomorrow and Friday

I really wish Friday was a night game, but whatever, still fun.

Tomorrow should be a BLAST... I'll be heading home at noon, taking the dogs out, then hopping on the Green line to Comiskey. Already giddy like a little kid.

Whats bad is that here in Detroit, everyone I work with knows I'm a Sox fan... And I actually AM getting sick:o: No one believes me.....

Games start a 2 pm colorado time. Luckily my boss is a big baseball fan and understands my need to watch the games. My schedule for this week looks something like this:

Monday - 7:30 to 6, with no lunch
Tuesday - 7:30 to 1:30 no lunch (game starts at 2)
Wednesday - 7:30 to 4:30 no lunch (game starts at 5)
Thursday - 7:30 to 6 no lunch
Friday - 7:30 to 1:30

Don't have to use any vacation or sick time.

I know you guys are tired of hearing this, but I took the entire month of October off to see these guys. It won't be the last I tell you about it either.

Tomorrow my class ends at 2:50, and I'm contemplating blowing it off to ensure that I see the first pitch.

On Wednesday my meeting usually gets out at 5 or so, giving me plenty of time to get to a local watering hole. However, the Ike is probably going to be extra jammed with people getting off early to see the game . Anyone have better routes from UIC to the west burbs?
