Few articles, stats, and "expert" picks.

The one stat that shocked me: White Sox have more home runs than the Red Sox. Surprising considering the pop Boston has. Also, the White Sox are a over a run better in ERA.

The White Sox have more homeruns but 162 fewer runs total. That goes right along with what they've been doing all season long. Scoring just enough to win.

IIRC, the White Sox BA w/RISP is horrible and Boston's is quite good. The key to this series is going to be the pitching. Keep Boston off the basepaths and take advantage of the fact that half their pitching staff has an ERA over 4.

Gammons picked the White Sox? It must be a typo.

Why does everyone talk about how great the Red Sox are at home but no one ever mentions how great the White Sox are on the road?

"I'm covering my ass just in case. In my newest column I'm picking the exact opposite teams to sweep. This way I can just point to whichever one does better. Genius idea, huh?"

The Sox have 9 players that have hit 10 or more HRs this season. Boston only has 6.

If you take away Ramirez and Ortiz, the rest of the team hit 107 HRs. Those two players account for 46% of the team's total.

If you knock off the two top Sox hitters, the rest of the team hit 129 HRs. Our two hitters (Konerko and Dye) account for only 35% of the team's total.
