If you look at the other thread about welcoming home the sox....they are coming back to Midway right off of 63rd street between central and cicero(thanks John). Who is going to go? I am sure we will have to time it well(maybe hour and half to two hours after the game ends). I am up to it, if I know others are going:bandance:

I live right down the street and worked at Midway for 6 years. Million Air flight support handles the ground ops for the team charter. It is on 63rd between Central and Cicero avenues...

From another thread.

thier charter drops them off in a hangar on 63rd(1/2 way between central & cicero on the North side of the street ) street just east of the national Guard hanger.... you can park in the bank lott across the street and thier is a drive way that all the sox will pull out in thier personal vehicles....makes signs...this is what we did in 2000 when they came home from Minn.

Not really. It's just that I will be in Chicago Mon-Wed and then leaving for California Thursday and not coming home until 4am Tuesday morning. She was looking forward to one night with me before she turned me over to the White Sox for the month.

Well she needs to learn she'll have you all to herself for 5 months once the season is over and we are done with the parades.

:D: I can't wait until that isn't in pink!

My point is that if she was a ball and chain, I don't think I would be able to go on my Sox binge this month.

It was nice to meet so many WSI'ers tonight as we braved a long delay and raindrops to welcome the AL Central champs back home.

The players, particulary Buerhle, seemed happy with the turnout.

How many people were there do you think? A few hundred?
