I thought this quote was hilarious for some reason.

Look up into the sky. There will be that blimp over U.S. Cellular Field, if it doesn't get lost trying to find Chicago. Been a while.

Kudos to Bob Verdi. I liked the article very much. He's been one of the few sportswriters in this town to give the Sox a fair shake.

He's reamed them when they've done bad/wrong. (Addison and St. Pete moves, the Carlton Fisk release) And he's heaped praise on them when they've done well. ('83, '90,'93, 2000) Something too few in this town have ever been willing to do.
