Another thing I didn't want to post until the division was in hand.
It is my opinion that game 2 of the Indians series last week was THE game of
the year, with Crede's home run being the offensive play and Uribe's 7th
inning stab and throw the defensive play of the year. I mean, it is the
difference between Cleveland leaving town .5 out or 2.5 out. That difference
was much larger than a lot of people realize. So they may have lost 2 of 3 in
that series, but the one win will stand out as the hugest. If the game had
been between the Yankees and Red Sox, the sports media literati would
have fainted and screamed that was a worthy successor to games involving
Ted, Joe, Babe, Mickey, Carl, Bucky and Derek.
