Bizarro question: Isn't the Magic Number technically 22? Every Sox win will be coupled by an opponent's loss. So the Magic Number will go down by two with every Sox victory.

11 Sox wins + 11 opponent losses = 22.

Thoughts?

I guess...but for now on our opponent's losses mean nothing if we don't win. (I know - you can't have 1 without the other) Right now, we are 11 wins away from a World Series Championship. That's the only number I care to count the rest of the way - WINS.

Right. Its more of a technicality than anything else. I'm pulling for 11 wins as well.

Only if the 11 wins start coming AFTER the regular season has been completed.
