hoping this weather blows out so we can play tonight

Thanks Fenway. Though I saw your boys play last night on the tele...unless the real Sox do some damage in Cleveland, I think y'all may be sitting this one out.

I know for whom I'll cheer if it's going to be Sox vs. Pilgrims

all we ask in Boston is that the White Sox don't become Baltimore the last 3 games just win ONE we will do the rest

Mood here is tense but upbeat

I am more concerned right now with how the Boston Police handle the Fenway area. Last year the team was on the road for the big wins and it still was screwed up

How sick am I?

Red Sox win 2 Cleveland wins 2

Boston loses Monday in New York Monday
WP Embree
Home Run Belhorn 12 in

then Aaron Boone and the Indians come to Fenway Tuesday:?:

876 police to deploy
after Red Sox games (http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2005/09/30/876_police_to_deploy_after_sox_games)

Boston Police are mobilizing for this weekend's do-or-die Red Sox-Yankees series with the largest crowd-control force of any recent sports event and with a deployment plan that addresses shortcomings found to have contributed to a fan's fatal shooting by police last October.

Thank you.

I'm sorry, but the Yank-Red Sox this weekend already making me ill. I'll be extremely ill if I have to handle another post season with both of them in. As much as I hate what Steinbrenner has done to baseball, I really want Cleveland to get the wild card...so, Go Yan....ok, I can't finish that, but you know where my sentiments are.

fenway, why not just post a link to bostondirtdogs.boston.com ??

Or at least have the class to post this **** elsewhere. Eg. Sons Of Sam Horn.

oh come on, the reality is how it plays out in Boston and Cleveland will figure out who plays who and when/where. Right now NOTHING is set.

Fenway, the Sox owe it to you and all the great fans of Boston to sweep the Tribe these last 3 games...

And the Yankees owe it to all of us to sweep the Red Sox these last 3 games. I don't want to see your beloved AL Cubs anywhere near the playoffs this year.

Now please, go away.

- Relentless self-absorbed threads about a team Sox fans don't care about
- Passive-aggressive "compliments" from on high
- Hijacking other threads and inundating them with Boston garbage

He's a great contributor.

Who believes anything the media says? "Expect 10,000 dead in New Orleans". "Many rapes and murders in the Super Dome". "The White Sox are chokers and will not make the playoffs". "The Bengals are going to the Super Bowl".

Thanks Fenway! Hopefully we'll kick your ass in October. You need to go back and search the July 21st weekend postings by this :dtroll: and stop bashing fellow White Sox posters IMO. This east coast poster is very condensending and doesn't belong here (especially during the post season) imo.

Looks like it may very well be Sawx vs Sox on Tuesday. If CLE/CWS split and BOS/NYY split the last 2 NYY wins division and Boston the WC

Most bizarre moment of Friday night at Fenway came 90 minutes after the game ended. They put the White Sox game on the Jumbotron and when Chicago won Megan the Sox music gal played "Sweet Home Chicago" by Jake and Elwood with Wally the mascot running around with a White Sox flag.
(I sense a barf coming)

anyhow
THANK YOU WHITE SOX!!!!!

I was at the Sox last home game Sunday and in the inning after the Royals beat the Indians (finally!!) - the Sox played "Kansas City Here I Come" over the loudspeakers.

Actually as of Sturday night it seems highly likely that Boston and Cleveland will be tied for the WC, and need to play a one game playoff at Jacobs Field to settle the issue. I like this particular outcome with The Commie Sox coming to Chicago later.

Highly likely based upon what? If Cleveland loses, they're done. If the Red Cubs beat the Yankee B team (which Cleveland has been unable to do in relation to the Sox, I know), Cleveland is done.

So really, the odds make it much more "highly likely" there will be no wild card tie, and that Big Papi and his band of roving caveman beard wearing, bloody sock idiot fools will be in Chicago on Tuesday.

Yup...they will be coming to Chicago to face a team that can actually pitch, will be able to scrape together the necessary 4-5 runs it will take to win (especially against their terrible bullpen), and it will be good night Boston. :bandance:
