He looked sharp at the plate, except the one time he flied out to shallow left with a man on third and one out.

I'm a bit more excited about the idea of Carl actually having a pair of 2 hit games back to back. And driving one to the gaps to boot.

Though definitely what Scott did tonight was very encouraging.

Good to see you get back on track Pods! Keep it up! He's getting fired up at thr right time. I went in Dominicks this morning before work and they were playing "Vertigo" by U2 I was like woo hoo its Pods song

I"m not trying to rain on the parade, Scotty did look good. THe stolen base I saw didn't look all that convincing and persoanlly I thought he was out. I wish it would have been against Ivan. Hopefully it will give him his confidence back. IT's all about that first step and lately he's had zero confidence in getting that first step. He'll be ready when it really counts.

I'm guessing he's still hurt and they're not telling anyone. The first bunt single in a long time yesterday may be another sign he's healing up.

He looked better, but I dont' think he's fully back. Not sure he would have gotten either of those SB with Pudge behind the plate. And, I was disapointed he couldn't get the RBI when it mattered with the guy on third.

Having said all that, it was nice to see him hit, get on base, and get himself over. Hope last night sparked a few guys' bats.

Maybe my morning caffeine hasn't kicked in yet but I think they've played both U2 songs for Pods. If I'm wrong, I apologize

No need to apologize! :D: I've never heard "Vertigo" at the park or on TV, maybe I've missed it. It's been "Elevation" every time I see Pods at bat.

If Pods is in fact back to his old self, and Crazy Carl has found his swing, this team is unstopable.

He looked better, but I dont' think he's fully back.

Hawk, the other night during the game (one of the losses to the Tigers), was commenting on how Pods was not hurt, but has lost his confidence. Does anyone know what the situation is? Is he still feeling some of the pain that put him on the DL or is he fine physically but has lost some of his edge mentally? From seeing him run last night, to me, it looked like the 1st half Pods before the DL which makes me believe that a) he is over his injury or b) his base stealing slump was more "above the neck".

Regardless, glad to see him back to form, and here's to hoping that it will continue. We all know how Scotty can screw with the minds of the opposing pitchers when he is on.

Now let's go get'er done this afternoon! :gulp:
