I figured I'd put them all in one thread, though all I really care about is our game and taking a peek at what the DRays are doing, these games may affect us.

At the moment:

0-0 in Cleveland, Bottom of the 3rd
McClung vs Lee
---
Baltimore leads the Yankees 1-0 in the top of the 3rd
Cabrera vs Chacon
---
Blue Jays lead in Boston, 2-1 in the bottom of the 2nd
Ted Lilly vs Bronson Arroyo

Jays now lead Boston 5-1 in the 3rd

1-0 Birds in the bottom of the 4th, 0-0 in the Toons vs. D-Rays game, that one is in the bottom of the 4th as well.

It could get real ugly in the Boston game. The Jays have the bases loaded with 0 out, and up 5-1. Arroyo is gettin the hook.

Catalanotto with a 2 run double to make it 7-1 Jays, still nobody out in the top of the 4th. More importantly for Catalanotto, he's now only a single away from the cycle.

Belliard and Peralta just turned one of the most amazing force out plays I've ever seen. I'm sure you'll see it on the highlights.

Still no score, runner on 1st with 1 out now for Tampa in the top of the 7th.

Yah that was absolutely nuts!!!! Too bad because the next TB hitter hit a single that would have put them up!

Belliard K's with Martinez on 2nd.

Going to the top of the 8th, 0-0.

Toby Hall leadoff double, Joey Gathright pinch-running. TB has Hollins, Lugo, and Green due up.

Hollins bunts Gathright to third, Lugo up w/runner on 3rd, 1 out.

Matos caught stealing at 2nd in the O's-Yanks game...Chris Gomez then proceeds to hit a ground rule double. If Matos would've been safe, the game would be tied..

O's up to bat in the bottom of the 9th. If they pull this off, Sox clinch the Wild Card tonight.

Damn, no help from the O's.

Oh well, Sox have already tied for the Wild Card and the Magic Number for the division is down to 2.

1 out in Beantown.

If the BoSox lose, the Sox clinch the division with just 1 more win regardless of what Cleveland does.

Thanks for all the help and good karma. Just wondering, will you be making a visit to Comiskey for the playoffs or going home to the family?

Come on, brother. Don't be hating on the Sox like that. You know I love the ChiSox as my second-best-favorite team of all time. I've even been to some games in Chicago!

BTW, light cloud cover over Fenway Park today...

New York still hates Boston...

...and Boston continues to be the 2004 World Champions...

Don't worry, little ChiSox fans, someday you might be like Boston and get to experience the post-season. It might even happen this year if luck goes your way, and you would probably find it really exciting. Imagine, the White Sox might actually get to play in the same post-season as Boston during their march towards a second World Championship. You will be in some pretty heady company, my friends.

Oh! I almost forgot, they released a Special Red Sox Collectors' Edition of Fever Pitch this month:

Just one thing: you forgot to mention how Red Sox fans are starting to "respect" the White Sox.

Congrats to the 2005 A.L. Central Division Champs... and I will be coming to Chicago for games 1 and 2 of the ALDS... I will probably be at Grandstand at 35th and Wallace before the games... at Jimbo's after the games... and drive around in a Denny Guest's South Oak Dodge car during the week... not sure if I am going to stop at Rolland's Jewelers or not... :gulp:

What a great job... you get to describe the final destruction of Cleveland's division title hopes, then fly back to Chicago in time to catch all the playoff atmosphere on the South Side. And not a single drillrod Cubs fan to be found!

There isn't a more dangerous player in a big situation than Big Pappi. Watch him hit a walkoff HR to win it in the 9th.

The Red Sox need this. A loss tonight means they'll need a sweep to make the playoffs.

Big Pappi wins it with a walkoff single. Game-tying homer in the 8th. Game-winning single in the 9th. If he isn't the MVP I don't know who is.

What must the Twins be thinking since they released him for financial reasons..didn't even attempt to try to work out a trade for him.
