You have got to be f-in kidding me. I can't wait until guys get on late in the game with AJ coming up. The Tigers go to one of their lefty relievers and......what? hit Blum - after all he didn't want AJ to face the big bad lefty last night.

First game of the series he leaves AJ in to face the lefty with guys on first and third.

The reason Ozzie is a fraud is because he gets away with his flaky moves by stating he doesn't manage by the book. As a result, he's not held accountable.

What's the team record for LOB in a game? What's the difference? It's not as if the alternatives are Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz.

Hit above .220 for the season. I don't know if I'm the only one but I see the lack of Timo over the last few weeks as a positive.

I agree Ozzie needs to shorten his bench and play only his best players for the duration of the 2005 campaign. However I don't think pinch hitting Geoff Blum in a game situation when Timo is available would ever qualify as such a move.

Please no more AJ in the 3 spot.

Please no more AJ in the 3 spot.As opposed to all the other guys who've excelled there?

Timo is a god awful pinch hitter though so is Blum. I consider that decision to be basically a wash. The only upside with Timo is I think he is a bit more likely to get the ball into the OF on the fly than Blum. Gload however was your best pinch hitter last season, I can agree with sticking him in that spot.

Revamping the bench needs to be a priority in the offseason.

As opposed to all the other guys who've excelled there?I guess if I have to choose between AJ in the 3 spot or Widger playing at all, I'll go with AJ...

I'd like to see Iguchi get a shot at the 3rd spot with Osuna batting 2nd.
Tadahito batted 3rd in Japan and with the way Pablo can bunt & run i think he would do ok.
A.J. just seems lost in the no. 3 spot.Carl needs to come out of his slumber, sooner rather than later.

I'm not saying I want Timo in the lineup, just wondering where he's been lately. He seemed to be one of Ozzie's favorites earlier in the season, but has seen virtually no action since the first week in September.
