The Cubbies have Ronnie Woo Woo, but Sox fans are lucky to have many unofficial mascots.

PS. Has anyone seen Get Up Guy this year? I think he's MIA

The Get Up Guy's 15 minutes of fame was 14 minutes too long. The WSI tag is the only remnant of his moment in the spotlight.

:fans<--- That's him in the corner

I voted for the only unofficial mascot visible from space:

M&M.

If the 35th St. Drummer is that guy who plays drums by the El and yells "Cubs Suck" after Sox games, I think the same guy plays the drums and sings "Sox Suck" by the El after games at the Urinal. So I wouldn't vote for him

Let the record show that that is not Yellow M&M in the picture

I voted for Yellow M&M, I used to hate him, mainly because he was at the 'Shingo explosion' game at April and he was embedded in my memory (and I thought he was bad luck since he was spotted with good seats at a Flub game during a Hawkins collapse, but that's nothing new, and that's a positive thing from my standpoint), but I've found him to become a loveable character. Funniest moments:
-seeing him freak out as a foul ball went straight back into the net
-unexpectdely seeing him at a Bulls playoff game while the camera panned the audience, and yes, he still had the jacket on
-almost as great as the Crede walkoff, looking down into the scout seats during the Tuesday game vs the Indians, and unexpectdaly seeing him, and laughing my ass off as people around me figured me for a mental patient. After the game, I went down the aisle to get some close pics of the field, and became speechless as we came face to face

The M&M foul-ball-into-the-screen incident happened during the Shingo meltdown game. Everyone in the chatroom cheered his near-demise at the time.

M&M was also there for Crede's walkoff HR last week.

This poll is, sadly, missing Andy the Clown.

Sure, he's dead, but he's STILL my favorite.

How about the member of the Chevrolet Pride Crew that wears the black and white skull cap? Whenever the CPC runs out, he jumps onto the tarp and dances all over the top of the dugout. He also goes wild when presiding over the Fundamentals home run contest. For example, he'll scream "OH MY GOD!!! OH MY GOD!!!" when a kid homers.

I pick the Richard Gere look-a-like. He's at every home game and myself and my friends and familia can't help but look for him and stare. He's too damn great.

Yes, I've seen him at every game, he's the first thing that pops out at me when they show a shot of a LH batter in the box, and I give props to him, but Yellow M&M prevails!

Is the Hot Dog throwing guy still around?

LOL That was going to be my suggestion! I just about wet myself laughing that night as he tossed all the hot dogs! I think he was the most popular guy in the stands that night.

I have to go with the hot blonde woman who fires shirts out into the crowd. This is definately one of KW's top acquisitions.

who's the hooter?

Older guy, used to sit in the mostly empty lower grandstand at night games (late 70's, early 80's) and, well, hoot frequently. Hawk named him.

The Southside Hitmen

The guys in the green suits that sit a about half way up behind the Sox dugout.

I can't help but laugh hysterically at William Ligue. That picture is an absolute classic.

But, my vote goes to the one, the only M&M jacket guy.

Gotta figure he'll be there for all the potential post-season glory.

Another vote for someone not on the list - Andy the Clown

I was also going to say Bizaaro Richard Gere, everytime there is a lefty now I can't help but look for him. I am kind of dissapointed that there was no Andy the Clown.

I love the "Milla Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiite" vendor. He makes me so happy. Even when he is selling water, I love him. "Aqua Finaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Wata!" I know his name, but I can't remember it.

Miller Lite is like water, so I guess there is no reason to distinguish.

100% total agreement! In college, while drinking, a friend of mine and I made a bet that if the Sox made it to the WS, I would pay his way if he dressed up as Andy the Clown...and it just might happen!

I can't remember his name but it was the fox in the white sox uni. He was the mascot a few years ago when I was younger. I can't remember his name for the life of me! I know someone on here has him as their signature

I'd like to say Craig Grebeck.......

But in reality, it's got to be the "Miller Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite" beer vendor (if you've heard him you know who I'm talking about)!

I was a big fan of the Drummer Boy during the '77 season.

God he was something. Early in the year he wore a simple t-shirt and you know Veeck let him in for free. By middle of the season he was a walking ad (I think for some sausage company on one side and something else on the back).

But these choices are so 2005... after this vote let's have a real unofficial mascot vote and add the '77 Drummer Boy and of course ....

Is that the same person you would hear over the radio and TV that had the looooooonng cheeeeer???

I have not been a regular since I moved out of town in the early 80's. But there was a guy who sat right under the microphone at old Comiskey and would give out a long cheer. He was going to games in 60's because I remember he that far back. Or is the "hooter" someone of most recent vintage.
