Damn....I just went to the Brewers site to see if we played up at Miller Park next year and we don't. We play the NL Central but the closest non-Cub team gets left off the schedule:angry:

Hopefully that means I get to go back to PNC next year, this time with a Sox hat on

We should be able to get a good crowd for that series, since it's definitely driveable.

Yeah, I'm annoyed by that too. Both the Sox and Brewers open at home, maybe they'll do preseason games at Miller Park like they did this year?

But if that's true, that means there's only one road trip to Oakland, right? Isn't that better than two separate trips to Oakland?

Also, they won't have to travel to the West Coast during Interleague play.

Of course, knowing the schedule makers' idiocy, the Sox still probably will make four separate trips to the West Coast rather than consolidating them into two, albeit longer, trips. And knowing the obstinacy of the Angels, the Sox probably will have to play all night games in Anaheim before travelling cross-country in the early morning hours to play a game the next day.

does anyone know the dates vs cubs at wrigley?

Great! Thanks for the schedule update. My family and I are going on an east coast baseball trip next year, so I was hoping the Sox would be playing Pitt or Cinci in June. Maybe we can go see both, as we were planning to see both stadiums already, so why not see the Sox.

Right now, all I care about re:2006 schedule is this: When will they present the rings?

I'm heading to Cincy for the weekend road trip.

Side note: I was at the Brewer game yesterday and someone mentioned that the cub only make 2 trips to Milwaukee in '06 and they were very happy about that!

I might try to make it to Cincy for that road trip. I'm gonna try to get a few other collegues at work together for at least one driveable roadtrip. That would be cool, although I've heard that the Great American Ballpark isn't one bit "great."

Actually, I made a trip to the GAP this past summer and I liked it quite a bit. I happened to be in Cinci for another reason and caught a game v. Milwaukee (Go C Lee!). But, now that the Sox are headin out there, I'd say it'd be worth another trip.

Ahh... I strongly disagree.. I go to college in Richmond, IN and so I'm only about an hour from cincy and get to catch just as many Reds games as Sox games each year. I have to say that it's one heck of a nice park. I'm sure there are nicer our there (and nothing compares to COMISKEY), but it's a fine place to watch a game, cheap seats, and you usually pretty good fans.
--- they hate the cubs so they can't be that bad.
I'd highly recommend making the trip for all Sox fans.. I know I'll be down there...

Tough schedule next year, two of the best teams in the NL with the Astros and Cards, and going to Oakland in September? *insert barf tag here*

I can't believe that the Sox are not going to Milwaukee ! You think that scumbag Selig would find a way to get another Chicago team up there for extra cash. This is why interleague play has to go. Play all the teams in the division and screw the home and home with the Cubs. It is played out.

We play St. Louis and not Milwaukee next year because Selig knows we will embarrass his family business. He's hoping the Cards spank us.

Good thing we'll be loading up in the off season to improve what is already a darn great team!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't all AL Central and East teams play the West teams for 9-10 games (3 series)? According to what both teams have posted, we only visit Oakland once next year and they only come here once, so shouldn't there be another series against them? I guess that's why these schedules are "tenative."

Selig no longer owns the Brewers. Give Hangar his tinfoil hat back:tongue:
