Interesting that Cleveland gets two straight series against the biggest arguments for contraction?

Royals have some life. 1st and second nobody out in the bottom of the 6th. Not that I expect them to capitalize or anything...

Next pitch a double play.

But they do get on the board with Long's single and the tying run is again at home plate.

SouthSide_HitMen

They have a lefty in the pen and won't put him in. They are unintentionally walking Hafner. That dropped ball really hurt. They still won't bringing Sisco for Martinez. Pathetic.

As far as Grienke, he is only 21 and they have been cautious with him all year. He had 103 pitches.

EDIT: They were able to get out of it!

I'm very serious now. This team needs to be contracted. What on Earth is their value to MLB?

They don't play in a real city. Their state already has a real team.

They proved they could win in the 70's and 80's, thus I assume they're doing a Tampa Bay and just refusing to spend anything, assuming a few people coming out will net them a few million per year.

This is embarassing to baseball.

And now they get the fly out.

Man, the Royals are ****ing horrible. If they end up losing this, they should be contracted. No questions asked.

You know, in many Soccer leagues across the pond, it essentially works like this.

They have (excuse my paraphrasing, I am not an expert)... a "major" level and a "minor" level.

Think of it as if the MLB was only 16 teams. But there are 30 franchises. The worst 14 franchises get sent to something like a "Minor League" for a few years, where no one pays attention to them.

It gives everyone- even .500 teams- incentive to play their best.

As well, it weeds out teams similar to our Colorados, Tampas, Kansas Citys, and the like...
