Last night was incredilbe....right up there with AJ's HR against the Dodgers. It seems like it has been forever since the WSox had a win like that at the Cell.

Need help from the WSI'ers....when was the last time we had a win like this at home? It seems like we just had a great rain after a long drought.

I'd say the Dodgers game with AJ's dinger, like you mentioned.

That AJ HR was memorable. There's been many "magical" home wins, though.

The one that sticks out, though is Robin's Grand Slam against Texas back in 1995. Big Frank had him on his shoulders after he touched the plate.

timo's pinch hit game winner was another fun game at home.

Hurt's HR to win the game off Guardado a few years ago was the last big one I witnessed.

Wasn't that when Robin hit grand slams in back-to-back innings?

Same game that Konerko hit a PH HR to tie it, if I'm remembering correctly.

I think it was July 2 or July 3 of 2003.

As far as this year, AJ's homer to beat LA was probably the last big 9th inning magical victory, beating out Timo's shot down the leftfield line on Memorial Day to beat LAA. Although it wasn't a 9th inning victory, I've got to put Big Frank's 8th inning 3-run bomb off Tampa Bay on 7/5 right up there.

What about Crede's in a July Saturday night game in the bottom of the 9th against the Tigers where all Hawk did was yell "GAME!"

DJ yelled that. That is his finest moment...a call that just came from the heart and not some lame joke.

I remember being at a game in 2000 where Jeff Liefer hit a game winning home run.

Also was there when Robin had a grand slam in the ninth to win.

How about that game where Jeff Abbott hit that walk-off home run to give Kelly Wunsch his first career victory?

Yeah - I think it was in May or June of 2000. Also, do you guys remember the game in K.C. in which we won in extra innings on a PK and Herbert Perry HR in extra innings - after we got out of a bases loaded jam and pulled an outfielder in to play the infield - and got the double play?

Off of Bob Wells. There's a nice little "where are they now" for ya.

I recall a game on July 31, 1991 (http://www.baseball-almanac.com/box-scores/boxscore.php?boxid=199107310CHA) against Texas. Goose Gossage came in to try and save the game. With 2 on, Goose retired Fisk for the 2nd out, then walked Tim Raines. Robin Ventura followed with a walk-off Grand Slam to win it 10-8 and keep us 3 back of Minnesota.

I was driving down Rt 59 in Naperville hooting and hollering and blowing my horn like an idiot!!!!

And people said "That guy is Fuller Schettman!"

This was the most memorable game I've ever been to. I have a copy of Roeper's article the next day in which he says something like, "All Sox fans will claim to have been at this game for years to come." It was that awesome.

Didn't they make an ad on TV about that game saying "it ain't over till it's over" and then showed that clip?

Another one that I'll never forget was they beat the yankees in a july game by coming back against rivera in the 9th. Lee led off the inning with a rocket homer, and then eventually Valentin drove in the winning run with a little broken bat blooper. It was incredible.
