View Full Version : Does this series need a theme song?

With the playoff like atmosphere for the tribe series, I was thinking this series needs a theme song or anthem, other than Thunderstruck or Lets Go Go Go White Sox, I was thinking of The Hall of the Mountain King, any other suggestions?

My favorite game this year was against the Tigers when Crede hit that go-ahead 3 run homer followed by a solo shot by Uribe. They kept playing Go Go White Sox and EVERYBODY was into it. Can't go wrong with that one. Plus, they started playing Living On A Prayer. 38K going "OH OOOOH!" was pretty cool.

My point? I don't really know. Just kidding, I like what they've been playing all year.

Lose Yourself By Eminem I was listening to it last night and thinking it was good lyric wise

"You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime"

Living on a Prayer is on my official White Sox Pre-Game CD. Mandatory listening for every drive to the ballpark.

LOL, I'm actually enjoying the new tradition at the park of this being played around the 8th inning.

Does anyone know where I can get "Let's Go Go Go White Sox" on the internet? I'd love to throw it on a CD for games.

I think you can get it from no other than this website, if I'm not mistaken. Under a section called "Audio Memories"

I know its a Red Sox song but I've been listening to "Tessie" by the Dropkick Murphys quite a bit in the last few days. Good stuff.

As far as the REAL Sox are concerned, "Let's Go Go White Sox" is good enough for me. I have it on my iPod and listen to it almost every day.

This thread inspired me to go listen to Na Na Hey Hey and that's all I needed to do. Instant good mood! I've been playing it over and over and dancing around my family room with a big grin on my face. My dogs think I've lost my mind--which is always a possibility--but for some reason, just hearing it wiped away all my anxiety, and I pictured the crowd tonight singing it out as the game ends and the fireworks erupt. And again tomorrow night. And again Wednesday.

GO SOX!!!!

I discovered that a couple days ago when I played it after that aweful KC series

my vote goes to Another One Bites the dust as Cleveland will be doing after this series.

"Right Here, Right Now" by Fatboy Slim

or "Ecstasy of Gold" by Ennio Morricone (from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"--this season has been definitely been all three of these at various points).

From my favorite musical decade...the 80's...

"Moment of Truth" from Survivor. It was the theme for "The Karate Kid".

I think the lyrics speak for themselves...

[Verse 1]

When you're alone, you ask yourself what are you searching for?
Deep in the night, a dream is born one that you can't ignore.

If you think you can find the passion and you're ready to take a chance,
If you really believe you can make it then the power is in your own hands

[Chorus]

It's the moment of truth you're giving it all, standing alone willing to fall.
If you can do it, get up and prove it, get up and show them who you are.
It's the moment of truth, it's all on a line, this is the place, this is the time,
Waiting forever, it's now or it's never, nothing can stop you now.

[Verse 2]

Once in your life, you make a choice, ready to risk it all.
Deep in your soul, you hear a voice, answering to the call.
Though you know that it won't be easy, it's a promise you made for love,
For the people that keeps believing, and the one that you're thinking of.

[Chorus x3]

Well, since we're a nighttime team...how about, Creatures of the Night?

Searchin' in the darkness
Running from the day
Hidin' from tomorrow, nothing left to say
Victims of the moment, future deep in doubt
Living in a whisper, until we start to shout...

We're creatures of the night
We're creatures of the night

Reeling in the madness, spitting out the lies
Searchin' for an answer, keep your alibis
Don't know where we're goin', just know where we've been
Remember when the clock strikes 12, the losers ALWAYS WIN.

Only one person has suggested something classical! There are some intense operas out there and some crazy orchestral pieces that would give you that "it all comes down to this feeling" or "oh ****, its time to get Medieval" feelings. How about Don Giovanni for example?
