Bottom line on the playoffs

If the games are 1-0, 2-1 or 3-2 we win. Those are the games we've won all season (see series in Skankee Stadium for example) and that we're built to win with our superior pitching, D and bully.

But if our opponent has the bats going at all (4 or more run average per game), then we'll likely be swept or at least will not advance past the ALDS.

Added note: I look forward to the Angels, if that's our ALDS opponent (and it's looking that way). I see us winning the first 2 games at the Cell, just when everyone would expect the opposite after they swept us earlier this month.

Who knows?

The thrill/pressure of playing into October may just make our lineup relax and hit the cover off the ball.?

Or it may make our opponents so tense they mess up their normal swings, and totally fail to score against us?

It'll be interesting if we end up playing OAK - after all, both they and we have recent histories of blowing the first playoff series - one of which would have to give.
