If my math is right. Starting tomorrow The Sox have 21 games left and the Indians have 20 left. With a 6.5 lead and 7 up in the loss column if the Sox go 10 - 11 ( which they should be able to do) the Indians would have to go 17-3 for a tie for 1st.

Not to nitpick, but if the Sox go 10-11, Cleveland would tie with a 16-4 finish. But I agree with the spirit behind this post. As long as we don't lose every game against Cleveland, we should be fine. And since we're currently 10-3 against them, I predict we will be fine.

But this is a new, much improved Indian team and much, much worse White Sox team. There is no way the inferior Sox will be able to even win a game against the likes of the Tribe.
If the pitching rotation remains the same, we'll have Garcia, Buerhle and Garland for the series against Cleveland Sept. 19-21 at the Cell. Hopefully, that's three losses for the Tribe right there.

Judging by the last 15 games or so, I would almost rather have the complete opposite. Contreras, El Duque, and McCarthy. I'm not complaining though. The recent skid makes Sept 24th or 25th more likely clinch dates, and I have tickets to those games.
