I just received this in an email from Q101:

Pontiac and Q101 are giving you a chance to walk away with a FREE pair of White Sox Tickets! All you have to do is stop by US Cellular Field on Wed., Sept. 14th from Noon-2pm. The first 500 people who show up will get a free pair of tickets!

While you're there you can experience the new cars of Pontiac! They'll have their hottest new models on site for you to check out. And don't forget to hook up with the Pontiac Street Team this weekend in Chicago and Schaumburg for your chance to win even more prizes.

Today's the Day. I'm heading out now to get the free tix. REMEMBER, it's at THE PARK, not the us cell store downtown.

Do you have to be a member of Club 101 (or whatever the Q101 mailing list is called)...or can you just show up?

I think you can just show up. There's nothing in the message indicating you'd need to be a member. Probably just have to look at a new Pontiac while waiting in line for free tix.

Wow! That sounds awesome. I can't believe I didn't get down there.

The low turnout doesn't really surprise me. I wouldn't be surprised if playoff tix don't sell out right away either. There's not really a buzz about the Sox right now. Things will turn around in a week or 2! :bandance: The city will be buzzing.

and b......you were there 15 minutes before it ended....if you were there at 12, it might have been a differnt sight

Not to mention that Tom Gamboa was attacked around this time 2 years ago and now he's managing!
