Thankfully, I didn't think it could happen, someone realized the influence Pods has on our team:

"Leadoff man Scott Podsednik really does mean a lot to this team, doesn't he? They have surged back since his return from the DL and are now 67-36 with him in the lineup -- just 18-15 without him."

It's amazing what real, meaningful, stats will show you. Pods is the catalyst of our offense, as we all knew, its about time someone shows him love, Post All-Star game.

Sneering media ass here. He is the catalyst? The catalyst for one of the worst offenses in baseball! If he is so great, why cant his team score any runs?

That is how they respond to common sense.

If 99% of relevant media reports claim that Podsednik is terrible, how can he be "overrated"?!?

Insanity! What kind of statistical analysis is that when you only rely on "wins"? Podsednik and the White Sox's 2d, 3d, and 8th order stats all show that he and they just aren't that good! You can keep your meaningless "Wins"!

And for a guy leading the majors in steals, he has ZERO triples

Wins are an overvalued statistic !

Just ask future HOFers Carrie Wood and Mark Prior.

Of course he's overrated. He's a leadoff hitter. Look at the success that the Cubs are having without having one!

Hey the Cubs have won 66 games this year with a leadoff hitter, the Sox only have one more W with scott leading off.

ANd he has no home runs, while Carlos Lee continues to slam them out for
the Brew Crew! Boy! Kenny Williams sure got fleeced on that trade! *giggle*

We also forgot to mention that he stole election from Jeter...so he's overrated AND a cheater.

He also steals bases, which makes him a theif. A common theif!
