Has anybody else noticed how stellar this guy has been for us. Excluding April, where he was getting off to a slow start, he has put up phenominal numbers. He his .275 in May with 7 HR's, .337 in June w/ 6 HR's, .292 in July and .273 in August. Just think leaving April he had an average of .175, and its the end of ugust and he's hitting in the .270's. My point is....he's a PIMP

Back in May I put up a thread titled "Still a Dye Guy"...I knew he would snap out of that early funk....He has come thru for us so many times, he is our MVP in my eye's

And he's a class act, gives a steady/veteran presence in the line up, and that throw in the metrodome (coming off a straight up vertical jump) was one of the web gems of 2005.

Dye has been a solid player for years (when healthy). It just made me laugh when some of the early season haters paniced and started the "time to end the Jermaine Dye experiment threads". He will be key in any run we make in the post season. I always hated seeing him come up against us when he was with the Royals & A's.

I wonder who would start such a thread?

Dye has been solid. What's amazing is how many posters on this site were ready to trade, release or hang this guy back in April and May. What's the saying? "Water always finds it's level?" Obviously there are exceptions, but guys who have an established track record (like Jermaine) usually find their way to their career averages by the end of the year.

He's "a pimp"? If that is a compliment something has gone very wrong here.

When Jermaine Dye hits the ball the other way, he is a MONSTER.

Just hope he keeps doing it.
