Sorry if this is posted already, but the A's just placed Bobby Crosby on the 15-day DL with a fractured ankle. Rich Harden has a muscle strain, I think in his lat muscle, and will be watched closely. The injury is somewhat similar, albeit not quite as severe, to that sustained by Ben Sheets. The Brewers shut sheets down for the year. The A's need Harden for the stretch run and are apparently hoping for the best.

Also, Mike Mussina will miss a start due to elbow inflammation. This is apparently not the kind of irritation that will really dissipate much this year.

It sounds like Crosby will probably miss the rest of the regular season.

Terrific. Now that we're done playing them, the A's can go ahead and suck in their 6 games against Cleveland and Minnesota.
