The Twins had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out in the top 9th and got picked off at third and struck out.

Looks like a typical Sox boxscore in August, except we would have scored our patented 2-runs

This is the Twins season in a nutshell.

13 hits
2 walks
1 HBP
ZERO runs.

Unreal. 5 double plays, including a 'strike em out, pick em off third' in the ninth. One caught stealing... You can't write games like this. 16 baserunners, no runs.

wow.

I think the Sox had about 15 games just like that this past month...

Let's hope the Twinkies don't completely tank. They have 6 big games left with Cleveland - including 3 this weekend. We need the Twinkies to go to town on the Tribe. I wish we could rely on ourselve. Unfortunately, we'll need others to help us win the division.:(:

The record for hits by a team that got shutout is 14.

Maybe next time, Minnesota.

Against KC pitching?

It's one thing to only put up 2 runs in 24 innings against the W.Sox staff. But to let 2 of 3 KC starting pitchers dominate you is pathetic. oh well. At least they pounded 'Lima time'.

:gulp:

I was wondering myself if Minnesota was going to go right in the tank after the Sox left town last week. By the way remember this game?

It couldn't have happened to a more deserving team.

Sorry to disagree with you, but if we take care of Cleveland ourselves, then we do not need anybody's help whatsoever to win this division. Have some confidence in this team. The only time you need help is at the end of the year and when you're in second place with no games left against the front-runner.
