With the minor league seasons winding down here's just a quick look at where the Sox' affiliates stand.

Charlotte is 57-81, 19 games out of 1st. The Knights have 7 games left. Borchard is tied for the HR lead with 28.

Birmingham (41-23) is clinging to a 2 game 1st place lead. The Barons have 7 games remaining. The last 4 are with 2nd place Jacksonville. Jerry Owens (.337) has a slim lead for the batting title. Chris Young is tied for the HR lead with 25. Sean Tracey is tied for most Wins with 13.

Winston-Salem (34-30) is tied for 1st place. The Warthogs have 7 games left. Leo Daigle (.342) and Noah Hall (.328) are 1-2 in the Batting Title race. Tom Collero (29), Daigle (27) and Hall (24) are 1-2-3 in the Carolina League lead in homers. Daigle leads the league in RBI with 105. He's followed closely by (who else?) Collero (100) and Hall (88). As a team, W-S leads in nearly every offensive catergory.

Kannapolis (35-23) has a 4.5 game lead for 1st place in the South Atlantic League. The I's have 7 games left. Ray Liotta (2.26) has a narrow lead for the league's best E.R.A. Of course, he's with W-S now, where his E.R.A. is veen better (1.05). He's a combined 14-4.

Bristol finished their season in 2nd place but a distant 17.5 games out of 1st. Kris Welker (.303) lead the Sox in hitting. Frank Viola finished 5-2, 3.84.

Great Falls (12-17) is in last place. They have 9 games left to play. Catcher, Francisco Hernandez has hit well (.340).
