My apologies to anyone who's reading this while eating lunch... you may want to wait until you're finished.
I was walking up Lincoln Avenue toward the Jewel yesterday when I saw a guy wearing a floppy cubs hat walking his dog. Right as we approach, his dog squats, right there on the sidewalk. I sort of diverted my attention, but the guy was feeling around in his pockets as if he didn't have a bag (he did have a Jewel shopping bag in his hand, though). I turned around about 10 seconds later to see if he was picking it up, and he was gone, but the pile remained.
Now, leaving aside the usual commentary on irresponsible dog owners in this city (who WOULD take one for a walk and not be prepared with a baggie?), what does this say about this cub fan and his disdain for his community? And this is about 25 minutes from their sacred "shrine," no less. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I thought some of you would want to hear about my encounter with this crappy cub fan.
