That sucks for Roy, I like him a lot. However, this paves the way for Garland or Mark.

At this point, they may have to beat Bartolo Colon first. He's very quietly had a fantastic season going 17-6 with a 3.34 ERA, and he hasn't lost since something like June.

If the Sox get hot again, and either one of Buerhle or Garland can be dominant during that stretch, it'll be one of them for sure. Otherwise, it'll be a tight race between Colon, Buerhle, and Garland at the end.

Don't forget Santana - Though I hate to admit it he will be in the top 2 or 3 for the award.

As far as fantasy rankings, it's currently:

1. Santana
2. Colon
3. Buehrle (Halladay was ahead of him, but he gone)
4. Zito
5. Johnson (R, ridiculous, prob because of strikeouts)
6. Garland

Cy Young Award is subjective and all about who sports journalists around the league believe had the best year among pitchers. And sports journalists are always fawning over the Sox.

Here's a Cy Young Predictor (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/features/cy) that means absolutely nothing. The AL Race is extremely tight, while the NL race is Carpenter in a runaway.

To some people thats their life!

I just think that last outing by Garland is gonna screw him for a CY. Bull**** call, dropped ball.

I want the WS not the cy. If Garland wins it then his price will go up. Burls is already inked for 3 more years-hope he gets it if it is a sox. Garland needs to be re-signed long term.

The Black Jays have been done for months, but trying to delude themselves they are better than a .500 team. Their pitching still SUCKS! If it weren't for Baltimore's hyperspace crash back into suckitude, the Jays would be in 4th place.
