Our prize was not having to attend a game at Wrigley...we all won.

It's inevitable that there'll be many many responses, so I'm hoping that a large percentage of the responses are from White Sox fans posing as Cubs fans, so that the winner might actually be a die hard Sox fan.

Just pretend you're a Cubs fan and put in your entry!

All I can say is WHERE WERE OUR PRIZES IN 1984, 1989, 1998 and 2003???????? I had lots of prizes during those years; Garvey, Durham, Bartman......... I love when the cubs make the playoffs; it's the only time I can predict the outcome of the series and really stick it to my cub friends. I was a little unnerved when they did beat Atlanta though (lost $40), but I won back 3 fold on the Marlin's series. I even doubled it up when the cubs had 3 wins vs Marlins.

In 84 I placed some wagers with friends after the Cubs were up two games to none. Boy did I collect big...real big!Lip

And here's another surprise, the Tribune company has nominated Wrigley Field as one of the Seven Wonders of Chicago. I suppose the Tribune Tower, WGN transmitter and CLTV studios are next.

It IS a wonder. With all that falling concrete, don't you wonder why it's still standing?

Last time I was there, I was too busy wondering where to park my car, wondering where the urine smell was coming from, and wondering how many of the drunk 17 year old girls would end up pregnant.

If this means that there's going to be more of those blue hatted fools at U.S. Cellular, we're going to have to start bringing cans of Raid.

You just described my college experience (well replace the "17 year old part with 18 and above).

Look at it this way.... At least the "winners" will be at the Sept. 7 game, and NOT interrupting our Core of the Core Party the next night! :bandance:

I asked my wife to fill out an essay. She doesn't follow baseball so she'd make a good Cub fan.
