Franco says he wants to play until 50. So if he plays 3 more years, that would mean about 160 hits per year. Probably not going to happen, but if it does, Julio has to be a HOF'er.

Unless he's hit a HR in the past week or two I missed, I believe the next HR he hits makes him the oldest man ever to hit one out of the park. Now there's a stat to be proud of...

No truth to the rumor Julio uses a cane to bat with. But I think he uses a bat made with one piece of wood and hammers nails into it.

Anyway, Stan Ross holds the record for oldest guy to homer in a game. (Need to watch your "Mr. 3000" to get that.)
